MICRONEEDLING

Microneedling is about improving the skin itself. Rather than changing facial shape or replacing volume, the treatment creates controlled microchannels that trigger the skin’s natural wound-healing response and stimulate new collagen and elastin.

I use microneedling to address concerns such as uneven texture, enlarged pores, fine lines, acne scarring, and overall skin quality. In my practice, I combine microneedling with platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) prepared from your own blood to further support the regenerative process.

Unlike an injectable treatment where a change may be visible immediately, microneedling relies on collagen remodeling. Skin will typically look red immediately afterward, similar to a sunburn, and mild swelling, dryness, or flaking can occur over the following several days. Improvements continue to develop as the skin remodels.

For most concerns, microneedling is not a one-and-done treatment. I generally recommend a series initially, with the number of sessions depending on what we’re treating and the condition of your skin. Once we’ve achieved the desired improvement, periodic maintenance treatments can help support skin quality as collagen production naturally declines with age.
